Preparing for your bodywork session.
– Clear your schedule. Ideally, you would take the whole day off and the next if possible - at least the rest of the day after your session.
– Hydrate well. Drink at least 1/2 gallon of water with lemon, salt, and a little honey on the day before and of your session.
– Eat on the liter side. Soups and soft-cooked fruits and veggies or soups should be taken on the day of your session and ideally the day before and after.
– Even if you do not receive Abhyanga (full body oil massage) your session still may include lots of oil. Wear clothes that you do not mind getting oily. Bring a head covering and or towel for your ride home. Bundle up to stay warm - especially if it’s during the cooler season.
– It is recommended to leave the oils on your body for at least a few hours after your session and in your hair overnight.
– Ensure you are pooping, if not, ask your practitioner for some dietary recommendations to get things going.
